Walk the Global Walk has mobilized young Europeans since 2017 as actors in the development of a culture of peace and the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through education in human rights and civic values. This European project promotes an innovative educational model in order to better understand the issues related to current global issues: climate change, migration, equality between women and men.

After two awareness-raising sessions on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in each class participating in the Walk the Global Walk educational program, a two-day training course was organized to strengthen the capacities of two students in each class in management and the conduct of a project in favor of the Sustainable Development Objective n°16 "Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions", at the heart of educational reflections this year.

Sanitary measures oblige, it is by videoconference that this training was held Tuesday and Thursday February 4, 2021 in the presence of about fifty students.

On this occasion, the International Institute for Human Rights and Peace made a "student facilitator's logbook" available to students.

Next step: make use of this knowledge and tools, and develop a class project, in favor of the Sustainable Development Goal n °16.

Among the projects proposed by the pupils, some wish in particular to create a website or a mobile application to make children aware of their rights.

From February to May, the Institute team continues to go to class to support students in developing their projects.
