As part of the Walk the Global Walk project, implemented by the Public Institution Regional Coordinator of the Region of Istria for European Programs and Funds, workshops for students of Istrian high schools involved in project activities are continuing. Thus, on March 5 and 6, in the Center for EU and International Cooperation in Pula was organized the second cycle of action planning workshops, attended by  30 students, accompanied by their professors from 13 secondary schools. The topic of the workshops was the importance of environmental protection, the promotion of sustainable development goals and the response to climate change.

The goal of action planning workshops is to empower students to encourage their school colleagues to actively engage and promote the Sustainable Development Goals, which are at the core of project activities and whose promotion is one of the main goals of this project.

Upcoming activities that need to be implemented in the spring and summer of 2020 were presented at the workshop.  In the coming period, students need to work on PEER TO PEER activities, organization of the EU Sustainable Development Goals Week in their schools and the Global Walk. The school which will be a winner of the competition will go to the International Summer School in Italy. International Summer School will take place in early July and will include a five-day international training on Sustainable Development Goals. The Summer School will include five students and one professor from the Istria County.
